Life Is An Olympic Event. Do You Have The Support You Need To Win?

Life Is An olympic event

This weekend my wife and my daughter and I were celebrating my wife’s birthday with some dinner at one of our favorite places in Old Town Louisville. There was a TV on and, no surprise, they were showing the Olympics.

There was no sound but I recognized the familiar scenes as they were interviewing a particular athlete. There was a montage of pictures of her participating in her sport from the time she could walk. They interviewed her parents who seemed to be talking about their daughter’s obsession and the kind of sacrifices they all made to support her. There was footage of her workout routines that started early in the morning before school and then continued after school until dark. They showed the support she was getting for her body: nutritionists, physical therapists, massage, acupuncture and chiropractic. This is the kind of long term determination and support that it takes to be the best at something that you’re passionate about.

[Sidenote] It just so happens that the chief medical officer for the Olympic team is a chiropractor. That's because chiropractors are interested in the function of an athlete's nervous system which is paramount to performance. Click the link to read an article about it.

I thought, man, LIFE is an Olympic event. As a parent, a husband and someone who’s passionate about becoming the best version of myself possible, and helping others become the best version of themselves possible, my story and my routine is not that different from an Olympic athlete’s. My obsession with living out my purpose on this planet began at an early age. I’ve faced hard times and adversity. My routine starts early in the morning and often goes until late at night. And I definitely need support if I’m going to accomplish what I want and need to accomplish.

I have to say that the cornerstone of my support system has been my weekly entrainment. I dare say that I’m addicted to the post-entrainment feeling: the feeling I get when life’s overwhelm and the built up tension have dropped out of my system, the feeling of my greater self having come to the foreground again, the sense that I’m ready to face life from a place of connection and wholeness again, the gratitude I feel for the different choices I know I will make from that place and the different way that I know I will interact with my loved ones and those that I aim to serve.

I know many of you have a strong desire to be the best human you can be. You’re trying to recover from the hard stuff you’ve encountered in the past. You’re going through hard stuff now. You want to get to the place where you have enough freedom in your body and life, access to enough internal resources, to know what your gifts are and share those gifts with others.

If that’s you, I strongly recommend getting entrained on a regular basis because, let’s face it, life is an Olympic event. You'll need some serious support if you're going to share your gifts with the world. I'm here to support you in that endeavor.

Let's do this! Click the link to get started...
